Kiln Presents Business As Usual an exhibition of contemporary work bringing together a range of artists. The show focuses on sculptural work, taking its departure from space, architecture and design, in a very broad sense. It takes place in an empty Georgian building, refurbished as offices. The property retains much of its original grand decor, creating a friction with the workplace aesthetic. The exhibition opens up this space for other forms of work and the name plays on this idea. Within the framework of an exhibition, Business As Usual functions as a test site. This allows the artists to present work which otherwise might not be shown in this context, encouraging further exploration of new, or existing ideas. Kiln bookshelf has been included in this exhibition. It takes the form of selected books operating as a resource and another way to engage with the show.

As part of Kiln Projects I co-organised a series of talks aiming to support the local creative community by initiating interesting areas for discussion from a range of people. We aimed to afterwards provide a space for informal discussion about ideas raised in the talk. Secondary was the hope that thinking through ideas and work to create a talk or presentation would help the talker develop their own practice.
I was involved with all aspects of the Visual Studies Degree Show 2011, including organising the planning, working on the design of the show, building furniture, working of the publication, developing a reading space, coordinating the private view, social media and curation.
Dead Good Discotheque, 2010 An attempt to create the atmosphere of a disco with artworks. Using DJs, lights, music, smoke and art to try to create an environment that leads to the experience of a disco. This exhibition was organised and curated in collaboration with Matthew Ferguson, Isabel Gylling, and Siobhan Fitt-Stirling.
